In the Year 2021, our CEO, Ms. Mahnoor Najeeb Mir, conceived the idea of re-introducing Conceptual Art Rings in Pakistan in a substantial, valuable, affordable and wearable form into the already existing rich heritage of South Asian precious jewellery market. Pakistan, where the tradition of creating and wearing jewellery began during the Indus Valley Civilisation i.e. over 5000 years ago which has evolved and changed many forms and despite being a very evident part of the culture & tradition it is being made only to appeal the eyes. However, previously throughout the World jewellery was made for practical uses like self-perfuming, stamping official documents, recognition of a dead body, self-poisoning for saving official secrets, delivering mini secret letters, jewellery pieces becoming weapons at the time of need, co-ordinated wedding bands/rings with hidden personalised meanings be it through the colours of gemstones used or a saying carved on the inside of the ring etc, exactly what Maadin Artistry yearns to bring back!

Entering this field made us realise that the art of making jewellery is a very technical skill that utilises imagination, intellect, creativity, practical talent and capability all at once and that it can only mastered with immeasurable faith, love for the craft, patience, persistence and resilience. And that it is the hustle of the laborious workers and business persons in this field who inspire us everyday to contribute to the creativity, beauty and meaning of jewellery making every single day in spite of all the legal issues, practical challenges, high expenses or unavailability of let alone technical but many a times basic equipment. That is what Maadin Artistry wishes to contribute to and aspires to bring back & create conceptual art rings where each piece would have a use or a personalised detail with a concept added to it AND also keep up with the current demand of the market with its Ready-To-Wear rings.
